Nigeria’s men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, has secured its second consecutive victory at the ongoing 2025 Afrobasket championship in Angola.

The team recorded an impressive 87-66 win over Tunisia, maintaining their winning streak in the tournament.

Persecondnews reports that Josh Okogie delivered a clutch performance, scoring 33 points to inspire Nigeria to a blowout win.

His NBA-quality game was evident as he dropped 27 points after three quarters, helping Nigeria build a significant lead over Tunisia.

Okogie’s impressive performance included 19 points after two quarters, setting the tone for Nigeria’s dominance.

The D’Tigers got off to a great start, leading 29-16 after the first quarter.

They continued to build on their lead, dominating Tunisia throughout the game.

At halftime, Nigeria led 48-33, and by the end of the third quarter, they had extended their lead to 21 points, scoring 68-47.

Nigeria’s commanding performance saw them lead by as much as 20 points at some point in the game.

Although Tunisia tried to mount a strong finish in the second quarter, Nigeria’s strong lead going into the break ultimately sealed their victory.
