After Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup match victory, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) received £4.3 million for their participation.

Tottenham was also paid £3.4 million as the losing team. The payouts were reported by Football London.

The final saw Paris Saint-Germain pulling off a sensational comeback to defeat Tottenham Hotspur and win this year’s UEFA Super Cup.

The Ligue 1 champions appeared to be losing yet another final within the last month, after they fell two goals down to Spurs.

Thomas Frank’s men capitalised on two set-pieces to score through Micky Van de Ven and Christian Romero.

With time running out, Lee Kang-in drilled in an unstoppable effort to pull one back for PSG in the 85th minute.

In extra time, Ousmane Dembele’s fierce cross was headed in by Goncalo Ramos to make it 2-2.

The game went straight to penalties, where Van de Ven and Mathys Tel missed from 12 yards.

PSG will now add the Super Cup to the Champions League trophy they won in June.
