President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt congratulations to three Nigerian students, who emerged as world champions in English language communication skills and debate at the 2025 TeenEagle Global competition in London, United Kingdom.

Nafisa Abdullahi Aminu, 17, was named the overall best in English language skills, while 15-year-old Rukayya Muhammad Fema emerged as the overall best in debate.

Hadiza Kashim Kalli clinched the outstanding talent award, taking home a gold medal.

Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said in a statement that President Tinubu acknowledged the exceptional young Nigerians’ achievements, affirming that the nation’s future is brighter with many of its youths as repositories of excellence.

“The President affirms that the nation’s future is much brighter with many of its youth as repositories of excellence,” the statement said.

The President also praised the institutions of learning, noting that these accomplishments are a testament to the quality and potential of Nigeria’s education system.

The Nigerian leader reiterated the importance of education for national development, highlighting his administration’s significant investment in the sector.

He recalled the removal of financial barriers for indigent Nigerians seeking higher education through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

“The President believes that education is a critical element for national development; hence, his administration’s significant investment in the sector,” the statement added.

He urged Nafisa, Rukayya, and Hadiza to remain steadfast in their studies, wishing them continued success.
