Team Kaduna has made a strong impression in the male soccer event at the ongoing National Sports Festival (NSF) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, defeating Team Imo 2-0 on Thursday and qualifying for the quarterfinals.

The Uba Sani boys’ synergy and fluid movement on the pitch caused chaos for Imo State’s defence, delighting the fans at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, who cheered every touch and clever move made by the Kaduna team.

Persecondnews correspondent covering the games, reports that with this win, Team Kaduna tops Group C and has qualified alongside Imo for the quarterfinals.

Although Yobe put up an impressive showing, they unfortunately failed to qualify for the next stage, which may impact their chances of picking a medal.

Kaduna’s next challenge will be against Lagos, who have also had an impressive run in the Gateway Games male soccer event.

The quarterfinal fixture is scheduled to take place on Saturday, and Team Kaduna will be looking to build on their momentum and make a strong impression in the next stage of the competition.
