Nigeria’s U17 girls, the Flamingos, will remain in camp as they prepare for the final round of qualification for the 2025 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

A statement on Wednesday by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Communications Department said the team will face Algeria in a two-legged encounter, with the first leg scheduled to take place on April 19th at the Remo Stars’ Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State.

The Flamingos secured their spot in the final round after defeating South Africa’s Bantwana 5-1 on aggregate.

The team won 3-1 in Pretoria and followed up with a 2-0 victory in Ikenne.

Algeria, on the other hand, came from behind to defeat Botswana 4-1 on aggregate, after losing the first leg 1-2 in Gaborone.

The other final round fixtures include Kenya vs. Cameroon, Benin Republic vs. Ghana, and Cote d’Ivoire vs. Guinea.

The Flamingos will be looking to build on their impressive performance against South Africa and secure a spot in the World Cup finals.
