The Federal Government has announced a significant boost in revenue generated from marriage contracts and expatriate quota applications to the tune of N5.6 billion.

According to the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo on Tuesday, the government earned about N2.4 billion from marriage contracts in 2024 through its marriage registry at the Ministry of Interior.

In addition, the ministry generated over N3.2 billion from expatriate quota applications, resulting in a remarkable 150% increase in overall revenue.
