The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn against Senegal, Congo, and Sudan in Group D of the 8th African Nations Championship.

The draw, which was held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, on Wednesday evening, has set the stage for an exciting tournament.

Nigeria, who were silver medallists in 2018, will face stiff competition from their group opponents.

Senegal, Congo, and Sudan are all formidable teams that will be looking to make a strong impression in the tournament.

The African Nations Championship, which has been rescheduled to take place in August 2025, will be jointly hosted by Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.

The tournament will feature 16 teams, divided into four groups of four teams each.

In other groups, joint-hosts Kenya will head Group A, which also includes Morocco, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Zambia.

Tanzania, another joint-host, will head Group B, which features Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and Central African Republic.

Uganda, the third joint-host, will battle Niger Republic, Guinea, and two wild card holders to be determined by the Confederation of African Football, in Group C.

The tournament promises to be an exciting one, with some of the best teams in African football competing for glory.
