The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has reaffirmed its commitment to responsible business practices by engaging in a strategic meeting with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

This crucial step is part of the company’s efforts to develop its Corporate Human Rights Policy under its Sustainability Programme.

Led by NNPC Limited’s Head of Sustainability, Chinedu Igwe, the delegation emphasised the company’s goal of balancing profitability with respect for human rights.

This move demonstrates NNPC Ltd.’s dedication to upholding human rights and promoting sustainability in its operations.

By developing a comprehensive corporate human rights policy, NNPC Ltd. aims to ensure that its business practices align with international human rights standards.

This policy will serve as a guiding framework for the company’s operations, ensuring that human rights are respected and protected throughout its activities.

The Executive Secretary/CEO of NHRC, Dr. Anthony Ojukwu, commended NNPC Limited’s leadership and pledged support for the initiative.
