Vice President Kashim Shettima is currently presiding over the 146th meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) at the State House, Abuja.
Persecondnews reports that the meeting, which began at 12:06 pm, is expected to be the last for 2024.
In attendance are state governors, some deputy governors, and members of President Bola Tinubu’s economic team.
The council is expected to consider key issues, including the states’ report on State Police and the 2025 fiscal year.
The NEC meeting provides a platform for the Vice President and state governors to discuss and address pressing economic matters.
As the chairman of NEC, Shettima plays a crucial role in facilitating discussions and advising the President on economic issues.
