Mr. Waheed Ayilara, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, is dead.
Ayilara reportedly died on Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, where he underwent prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday, just hours before his death.
“We are very sad to inform you that our friend, brother and family member, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara, is dead,” a family member said.
