Popular Nigerian actress Dakore Egbuson has vehemently debunked the rumours of an amorous relationship with the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

The actress, who is known for her roles in various Nollywood films, described the allegations as baseless and malicious.

In a statement released on her social media platforms, Dakore expressed her shock and dismay over the rumours being peddled by an online blog.

She emphasized that the claims are entirely fabricated and have no basis in reality.

Dakore clarified that she has never met Senator Akpabio, let alone had any clandestine affairs with him.

“I categorically state that I have never met the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio. The rumours are unfounded and wicked,” she stated.

The actress further explained that she has been happily married for several years and is a devoted mother to her two children.

She described the impact of such false allegations on her family and personal life as deeply hurtful and unnecessary.

“My marriage is a cornerstone of my life, and I am blessed with a supportive husband and wonderful children. It is disheartening that people would spread such harmful lies without considering the damage they cause,” Dakore added.

She urged the public and her fans not to believe everything they read online, especially from sources that lack credibility.

Dakore pointed out that false rumours not only tarnish reputations but also cause emotional distress to those involved.

The actress called on the online blog responsible for spreading the false information to retract the story and issue a public apology.

She stressed the importance of responsible journalism and the need to verify information before publishing.

Dakore also thanked her fans and well-wishers for their unwavering support during this challenging time.

She expressed gratitude for the love and encouragement she has received, which has helped her stay strong in the face of adversity.

In her statement, Dakore reiterated her commitment to her career and family.

She vowed to continue focusing on her work and personal life, undeterred by baseless rumours and negative press.

The actress concluded by appealing to the media to uphold the ethics of journalism and avoid spreading false information that can harm innocent individuals.

She expressed hope that this incident would serve as a lesson for all parties involved in the dissemination of news.
