The ongoing feud between Nigerian music heavyweights Davido and Wizkid escalated today and took on a deeper dimension as Davido fired back at Wizkid’s recent jabs, asserting that Wizkid’s career had experienced a resurrection only to plummet once more.

The spat ignited when Wizkid taunted Davido, seemingly referencing a viral video where Davido was seen tearfully pleading, akin to the manner in which Wizkid joked that Davido’s fans should beg for new music releases.

This led to heated verbal exchanges on social media, with both artists exchanging barbs late into the night and in the morning.

While some observers speculated that the feud might be a publicity stunt designed to entertain fans, many viewed the exchanges as genuine and indicative of deeper tensions between the two stars.

In response to Wizkid’s jabs, Davido retorted with biting remarks, stating, “That’s what I thought. Nothing to say! Exactly why I stopped wasting my clout and jeopardizing my millions of USD of endorsements on someone whose career was resurrected a few years ago just to die again. NEXT!!”

Davido’s words highlighted his apparent frustration and suggested a belief that Wizkid’s career had experienced a decline after a brief resurgence.

Wizkid swiftly responded with a dismissive tone, declaring, “I got nun to say to u my boy! I can retire today and you still not on my level. You be influencer with a song writer. Wish u well.”

This retort underscored Wizkid’s confidence in his own status within the music industry and seemed to downplay Davido’s accomplishments.

As the clash between the two artists continues to captivate fans and observers alike, it remains to be seen whether tensions will further escalate or eventually subside.

However, one thing is certain: the rivalry between Davido and Wizkid shows no signs of cooling down anytime soon.
