Stanley Nwabali shone like a million stars, making incredible saves to advance Nigeria to the African championship games during penalty shootout.

Magnificent Super Eagles maintained their astounding dominance over Bafana Bafana on the continent as South Africa’s hopes are dashed by a Kelechi Ihenacho spot kick.

Using the pace of Percy Tau and Evidence Makopa, South Africa was outstanding in the first half, exploiting the Super Eagles’ defence with long balls.

Hugo Broos’ tactics were thwarted by Jose Peseiro’s mid-block in the second half, as the Super Eagles defence line matched the South Africans’ attacking threats pound-for-pound.

Nigerians watched in shock as VAR ended the celebrations of football supporters in the 87th minute, nullifying Osimhen’s goal due to an earlier foul by Alhassan Yusuf, giving South Africa a chance to save the match.
