The Adamawa Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has nullified Wednesday’s suspension of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, by his Godabawa ward, for losing his polling unit to the People’s Democratic Party at the Presidential and Governorship polls.
The Chairman of Gwadabawa ward, at a news conference in Yola, disclosed that Mustapha was not committed to the party’s victory in the just-concluded general elections hence the indefinite suspension.
In a prompt response, Dr Raymond Chidama, the state APC Secretary in a chat with newsmen on Thursday that the impact of Boss Mustapha in sustaining the party “ is second to none.”
Chidama said: “It is a known fact and worth mentioning that the contribution of Boss Mustapha toward sustaining and supporting the party is second to none and cannot be overemphasized.
“Therefore, any group hiding under the auspices of the party which is sponsored by the opposition to come out with malicious allegations at this critical time is highly condemnable.”
He said the suspension of the SGF is unconstitutional, null and void and is of no effect.
Persecondnews recalls that Boss Mustapha was among the political bigwigs in the ruling All Progressives Congress, who failed to deliver their wards for the President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during the presidential election.
Just like the National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, and Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Atiku outscored Tinubu in the SGF’s polling unit with 90 votes while Tinubu polled 40 votes and Peter Obi came a distant third with 23 votes.
