A third minister in the Buhari administration has quit his job in compliance with the President’s directive.
He is the Niger Delta Affairs Minister, Sen. Godswill Akpabio.
Persecondnews recalls that the President had during Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting directed all cabinet members eyeing elective offices to quit on or before May 16, 2022.
Confirming the development, Akpabio’s media aide, Jackson Udom, said: “The Minister has resigned. He has submitted his resignation letter to the SGF.
“We are waiting for him at the ICC, where he is coming to submit his nomination form.”
