After about 40 days in the bush, the remaining 14 students of Greenfield University, Kaduna, have been released by their abductors.

The 14 students were reportedly released on Saturday after heavy ransom was paid by their parents, who it was learnt sold off their properties.

The students were released on Saturday afternoon at a location along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

Persecondnews recalls that on April 21, 2021 some gunmen kidnapped 20 students and three staff in the university.

Five of the students were killed by the gunmen for non-payment of ransom by their parents while a student was released two weeks ago on payment of ransom.
