NNPC Chief Finance Officer disowns cloned telephone number by fraudsters, says not soliciting funds

Internet fraudsters are at it again with the latest cloning of the telephone number of the Chief Finance Officer of the Nigerian National Petroluem Corporation, Mr Umaru Ajiya.

The scammers are now sending out a Sterling Bank’s account number to members of the public soliciting funds.

Ajiya, who confirmed the development, called on the public to disregard such messages.

“The public should disregard such messages soliciting for funds using a Sterling Bank account details –0500323013 — with the account name as Muntari Adamu,” he said.

He warned members of the public against falling for the antics of the fraudsters by not putting money in the account.
