Former Commissioner slumps, dies at monarch’s palace during mediation

Dispute resolution has claimed the life of a one-time Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Chief Enoch Ajiboso as he reportedly slumped in the process and passed on.

The tragic incident occurred on Sunday at the palace of the monarch of Inisa in Odo-Otin council area of Osun State.

The erstwhile Chairman of Agege Local Government in Lagos State was 70 years when he bid the world good bye, according to his son, Femi.

Ajiboso’s mediation in the seemingly intractable dispute between two parties turned tragic midway.

“He was rushed to a hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors,” a reliable source said.

He was a Management Trainee staff at First Bank in 1980; Senior Asst. Manager, Staff Training &Development, 1990-92 and Dep. Manpower Planning Manager, 1992-97.

Between 1997 and 1998,  the deceased was elected the Chairman of Agege Local Government and also re-elected between 1999 and 2002.

He was the Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria, Lagos State Branch, between 1999 and 2002; elected National Treasurer, ALGON, 1999-2002; Commissioner for Agriculture and Co-operatives in 2007 in the administration of ex-Gov. Babatunde Fashola.

His biography revealed that Ajiboso attended Saint Peter’s Primary School, Inisa, 1956-63; Inisa Grammar School, Inisa, 1967-71; Kiriji Memorial College, Igbaja, 1972-73; University of lbadan, 1974-77 and University of Lagos, Akoka, 1979-80.
