An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State has been shot by a fleeing gunman.

He was shot in the leg before he sped off.
According to a report, the incident occurred on Sunday at the Ibafo corridor of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway when the FRSC Marshalls were on duty managing the traffic.
It was learnt that the officials had stopped the gunman’s vehicle marked WED264YE for route violation and driving against traffic.
All of a sudden, the motorist, who claimed to be a policeman, pulled a pistol and shot the marshal’s leg for arresting him.
The Sector Commander, Mr Vincent Oladele, who confirmed the incident, said the officer is in a stable condition at the hospital.

He said the incident has been reported to the Police while a manhunt has been launched for the fleeing gunman.
