Buhari approves new NDDC board

President Muhammadu Buhari, has, subject to Senate confirmation, approved a new board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

This was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary (General Services Office), office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olusegun Adekunle.

The board members includes, Dr. Pius Odubu from Edo, as the Chairman; Bernard Okumagba from Delta State, as Managing Director; Otobong Ndem from Akwa Ibom, as the Executive Director, Projects and Maxwell Okoh from Bayelsa as the Executive Director Finance & Administration.

Others are Jones Erue, Delta State representative; Victor Ekhatar, Edo State representative; Joy Nunieh, Rivers State representative; Nwogu Nwogu, Abia State representative; Theodore Allison, Bayelsa State representative; Victor Antai, Akwa Ibom State representative; Maurice Effiwatt, Cross River State representative; Olugbenga Elema, Ondo State representative; Uchegbu Kyrian, Imo State representative and Aisha Muhammed from Kano State, representing North-West area on the board.

Meanwhile, the interim management, headed by Prof. Nelson Brambaifa, has been directed to hand-over to the most senior Director in the Commission.

“The Chairman and members of the newly composed Governing Board, are by this release invited to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Monday, 2nd September, 2019 at 2.00 p.m for proper documentation and briefing.

“They are to come along with their updated CVs and valid identification,” the statement read in part.
