Nigerian music star David Adeleke, better known as Davido, says retirement is off the table for now, thanks to his daughters’ love for shopping.
The father of three took to social media to candidly—and humorously—reflect on fatherhood, joking that his children’s daily spending habits guarantee he will be working hard for years to come.
“My daughters wanna shop everyday … I’m in trouble … gotta forever guide 😂❤️,” he wrote.
The singer’s comment appeared to be a humorous reference to the financial responsibilities that come with raising children, particularly as they grow older and develop their own interests.
Davido, who has continued to maintain a busy music career, has often spoken about the importance of providing for his children and being present in their lives.
His latest comment suggested that with his daughters’ love for shopping, he might have to keep working hard to meet their needs and wants.
For Davido, it appears the journey of making music and staying active in the industry still has plenty of motivation behind it, with his daughters providing one of the more amusing reasons to keep going.
