Botswana’s men’s 4x400m relay team delivered a legendary performance on home soil, clinching gold in an electrifying final at the World Athletics Relays.
The quartet—Lee Eppie, Letsile Tebogo, Bayapo Ndori, and Collen Kebinatshipi—showcased flawless teamwork to finish with a world-class time of 2:54.47.
The thrilling duel between the two southern African powerhouses ended with Botswana not only claiming the title but also obliterating both the African Record and the Championship Record.
The sensational run lifted the hosts to second on the all-time world list for the event, underlining their emergence as a global force in the one-lap relay.
South Africa took silver in a superb national record of 2:55.07, underlining the exceptional standard of the contest.
