U.S. President Donald Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., offered high praise for Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.

Addressing a prestigious audience of lawmakers and global religious leaders, Trump described her as a “very respected person” while commending her dedication to her faith.

The annual event served as a platform for the President to emphasize the intersection of leadership and religious freedom on the world stage.

Spotting Oluremi Tinubu in the audience, Trump paused his remarks to acknowledge her presence and service, noting both her position as First Lady and her pastoral role within Nigeria’s Christian community.

“We’re honoured to be joined today by the First Lady of Nigeria, who also happens to serve as a Christian pastor at the largest church in Nigeria. A very respected woman. First Lady, please, where are you?

“Thank you very much. It’s a great honour. Thank you very much. Very respected person, too. Thank you,” Trump said, drawing applause from attendees.

The recognition placed Tinubu among a select group of global figures acknowledged at the event, underscoring her prominence beyond Nigeria’s political space and reflecting her longstanding involvement in faith-based activities.
