Meraiah Ekeinde, daughter of veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, is engaged, and her mother is already looking ahead to the wedding.
Meraiah, 26, announced her engagement on Instagram with a romantic video obtained by PerSecondNews, capturing moments from the proposal.
She captioned the post: “New chapter ❤️‍🔥,” while showing off her engagement ring without revealing much about her fiancé.
The announcement immediately drew congratulatory messages from friends, family members and fans, many of whom have watched Meraiah grow up in the public eye.
Reacting to the engagement, Omotola shared a video from the special moment and could barely contain her excitement.
The actress affectionately described her daughter as “my twinnie” before declaring: “My twinnie is engaged!”
Omotola then appeared to turn her attention to the next big family event, saying, “I guess we have a wedding to plan!”
She concluded her message with, “Congratulations to the lovebirds,” as she celebrated the new chapter in her daughter’s life.
Meraiah, popularly known as Mimi, has largely built her own identity away from her mother’s successful acting career and works as an apparel product developer.
She is one of four children born to Omotola and her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde, who have been married since 1996.
