Days after veteran Nigerian singer Terry G publicly appealed to Burna Boy to collaborate on a remix of his classic hit, Free Madness, the Grammy-winning Afrofusion star has yet to respond, leaving the veteran’s emotional plea unanswered.

Burna Boy’s continued silence has fuelled speculation among fans over whether he has chosen to ignore the request or is quietly considering it behind the scenes.

While there is no evidence that a collaboration is in the works, some fans remain hopeful that the singer could still surprise the self-styled Akpako Master with an unexpected response.

Terry G made the appeal after videos surfaced online showing Burna Boy enthusiastically singing along to Free Madness, one of the veteran’s most iconic songs, prompting him to publicly seek a collaboration.

Speaking in a video shared on his Instagram page, the self-styled Akpako Master appealed directly to Burna Boy, expressing hope that the singer would reach out to him for a remix of the song.

“God, just touch Burna Boy’s heart, make he call me directly to jump on the remix of this Free Madness record,” he pleaded.

Terry G said Burna Boy’s excitement while vibing to the song showed that Free Madness still resonates with music lovers and deserves a fresh revival.

“The way Burna Boy dey vibe to the song, e show say the music still dey alive. Make we give the fans something special,” he said.

He maintained that Free Madness remains one of the defining songs of its era and believes a remix featuring Burna Boy would introduce the anthem to a new generation of listeners.

“I just want make Burna Boy call me. We go jump on the remix together and make history,” Terry G added.

Videos of Burna Boy singing Free Madness had earlier generated excitement across social media, with many fans suggesting that a collaboration between the two artistes would bridge different generations of Afrobeats.

Since making the appeal, however, Burna Boy has neither publicly acknowledged Terry G’s request nor hinted at any plans to revisit the song.

Persecondnews reports that his silence has continued to generate mixed reactions online, with some fans urging him to honour the veteran’s request, while others believe he may simply be taking his time before making a decision.
