Actor and PR expert, Francis Duru has addressed growing concern over his health after videos circulated online suggesting that the veteran actor was critically ill, a development he has firmly dismissed as false and misleading.

In a video message he personally released and obtained by Persecondnews, Duru described the trending clips as part of what he called a “wicked narrative,” insisting that the claims about his health condition were completely fabricated.

He maintained that he has never been in the severe state portrayed in the viral content, stressing that those behind such content were deliberately trying to distort public perception of him.

“This is me. I am well and fine,” he said in the video, directly countering the rumours that had sparked widespread concern among fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

The actor also expressed frustration over what he described as a growing misuse of technology, particularly artificial intelligence, to manipulate images and videos of public figures for malicious purposes.

According to him, some individuals are now in the habit of fabricating stories and using digital tools to create misleading impressions of people’s lives and health conditions.

He added that such actions amount to intentional character distortion, warning that those involved would ultimately face consequences for their actions.

“I appeal to friends and families who were worried and embarrassed by the terrible video of me in any condition,” he said, seeking to reassure those who had reached out in concern.

Duru further stated that he believes the circulation of such content is not only harmful but also driven by ill intent, describing it as the handiwork of “merchants of wickedness” seeking to tarnish reputations.
