Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Managing Director Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho is poised to anchor high-stakes talks on artificial intelligence and regional port security as PMAWCA’s Board convenes in Lagos next week.

Persecondnews will be reporting live at the May 18-21 gathering at Eko Hotel that will run daily sessions from 10am, uniting President Bola Tinubu, Marine and Blue Economy Minister Adegboyega Oyetola, and PMAWCA Secretary General Jean Koffi.

Building on earlier 2026 sessions that examined administrative, legal and financial reforms alongside AI applications, the meeting highlights NPA’s growing command of continental maritime strategy.

Fresh priorities include smooth navigation of the African Continental Free Trade Area, rapid digital upgrades, AI-fortified security systems, and decisive action against climate threats to port operations.

Through Dantsoho’s consistent leadership on the Board, the NPA continues to shape West and Central Africa’s agenda for stronger cooperation, robust security, and future-ready infrastructure.
