The APC National Secretary, Sen. Ajibola Basiru, has confirmed that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is being actively engaged to resolve the ongoing political stalemate in Rivers State.
Speaking on TVC News this Thursday, Basiru identified Wike as a “critical stakeholder” in the current administration whose involvement is essential to restoring stability.
He emphasized that resolving the friction in Rivers is a top priority, as the state’s political health is vital to the overall success of President Bola Tinubu’s agenda.
“Wike is an avowed supporter of President Tinubu, even though he is not in the APC. As someone who is interested in the success of President Bola Tinubu, Rivers State is critical for that success.
“He is being engaged to resolve the political crisis in Rivers State,” Senator Basiru said.
Persecondnews recalls that the political landscape of Rivers State remains fractured as Nyesom Wike and his estranged protégé, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, remain locked in a bitter struggle for control over the state’s political machinery.
