Nigeria’s Nnadozie Shine at CAF Awards (Full list)

Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie made history by securing the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for a record third consecutive time, showcasing exceptional skills at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Persecondnews had reported that Moroccan football sensation Achraf Hakimi was crowned the 2025 African Footballer of the Year, marking a standout season with Paris Saint-Germain.

Hakimi, who played a pivotal role in PSG’s quadruple-winning campaign, including the UEFA Champions League, edged past Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen to claim the top honor.

Also in the women’s category, Moroccan midfielder Ghizlaine Chebbak was named CAF Women’s Player of the Year, adding to Morocco’s impressive haul.
