Just In: Two-Week Warning Strike Looms as ASUU Gives Notice

Effective midnight Sunday, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has ordered a withdrawal of services across the country, commencing a two-week warning strike.

Announcing the decision at a news conference at the University of Abuja, ASUU President Chris Piwuna accused the government of insincerity in negotiations.

He said the two-week period is a final opportunity for officials to conclude discussions and implement the union’s demands.
