In Ogun State, security agents have arrested several individuals suspected to be Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) staff, along with a politician, on suspicion of a vote-buying scheme ahead of today’s by-election.

The arrests were made at a hotel in Iperu-Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area, on Saturday.

A viral video shows the two INEC officials—a man and a woman—squatting while being interrogated by security personnel.

The interrogating officer states that intelligence indicated the officials had been given a large sum of money by party officials to buy votes during the by-election.
