Akin Olowokere, the newly appointed Assistant Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Ibadan, has died after slumping during a training session on Monday.

According to eyewitnesses, Olowokere collapsed on the pitch during the team’s morning training in Ijebu-Ode and was rushed to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

Persecondnews reports that there were no official reports on what led to Olowokere’s death.

However, eyewitnesses said that the coach slumped on the pitch during the team’s Monday morning training session and was rushed to the hospital.

Another source added that he was confirmed dead at the hospital where he was rushed to.

Olowokere was a former player with Sunshine Stars of Akure and later transitioned into coaching.

He had recently served as an assistant coach with Sunshine Stars under head coach Edith Agoye before joining Shooting Stars.
