Nkechi Blessing Opens Up: Past Controversies Cost Her Lucrative Endorsement Contracts

1.1k

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has expressed deep regrets over her past controversial lifestyle, revealing that it has significantly hurt her career, resulting in loss of major endorsement deals.

In an emotional video posted on her Instagram page, the actress admitted that her past decisions have haunted her professionally, as several brands turned away from working with her due to negative feedback from third parties.

Nkechi explained that before her widely publicized relationship, she had been in other relationships that didn’t make it online, but the fallout from one public controversy changed how people perceived her.

“Guys, I am not happy. What I am about to say has been bothering me for 3 to 4 years now. I have been meaning to talk about it for the longest time, but I just felt it wasn’t really important,” she confessed.

The actress lamented that even when brands initially show interest in collaborating with her, they often consult others who discourage them from associating with her.

“When people want to work with me and seek the opinion of third parties, they tell them to run away from me because I would drag them online,” she revealed.

According to Nkechi, she has lost multiple lucrative deals because of this perception, but she remains grateful for the grace that keeps her moving forward.

“I know how many deals I have lost, but God’s grace keeps me going. If you don’t come for me, I won’t come for you,” she added.

The mother of one took a moment to apologize to anyone she may have hurt in the past, acknowledging that she now desires a peaceful life.

In her caption, she emphasized that everyone reaches a stage in life where all they want is tranquility and a fresh start.

“There comes a time in your life when all you want is to live in peace and quiet. I hope that moving forward, I will be left alone to live my soft life in peace. Apologies to anyone I might have offended in the past, abeg make una leave me alone. Na beg I dey beg,” she wrote.

Her revelation has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans applauding her honesty and willingness to change, while others remain skeptical about whether she will truly turn a new leaf.

Nkechi Blessing’s candid admission underscores the lasting impact of public controversies on one’s career and the vital role a good reputation plays in securing lucrative opportunities..
