Burna Boy to Speed Darlington: Behave Yourself’ After Jail Release

404

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has issued a strong warning to social media personality, Speed Darlington, following his recent release from prison.

Darlington had served two months in detention for cyberstalking violations, stemming from an ongoing feud with Burna Boy.

In the early hours of today, Burna Boy took to his Instagram story to deliver a clear message to Darlington.

“If you like, misbehave again, you’ll go to where you came from! And this time around there would be no mercy! #Dontmesswithodg,” the post read.

The statement signals Burna Boy’s firm stance against any further provocations.

The feud began in October 2024, after Darlington posted a controversial video accusing Burna Boy of having ties to American rapper Diddy, who was recently embroiled in legal troubles, including allegations of sex trafficking.

The video quickly went viral, sparking a heated online debate.

Shortly afterward, an alarming post appeared on Darlington’s Instagram account on October 7, 2024, claiming he had been missing for three days.

His mother later revealed that his disappearance occurred after he made the video about Burna Boy.

In an emotional plea, she begged Burna Boy to show leniency toward her son.

By mid-October, Darlington was arrested following a petition filed by Burna Boy with the Nigerian police.

His detention drew widespread attention, with fans and critics engaging in heated discussions about the implications of the case.

Darlington was granted bail in November, but his legal troubles escalated when he was re-arrested on November 27, 2024, during a live performance in Owerri, Imo State.

The charges centered on alleged cyberstalking, with prosecutors accusing him of deliberately targeting Burna Boy in his online content.

His release earlier this month has not eased tensions.

Burna Boy’s recent warning indicates that the issue remains unresolved and serves as a cautionary note to Darlington about future actions.

Social media has been abuzz with reactions to the latest development.

While some fans of Burna Boy praised his decision to speak out, others criticized the ongoing feud, urging both parties to resolve their differences amicably.

Speed Darlington, known for his provocative online persona, has yet to publicly respond to Burna Boy’s warning.

However, his track record suggests he may not remain silent for long, potentially reigniting the controversy.
