In anticipation of her milestone 30-year anniversary in the entertainment industry, renowned Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has set the record straight regarding speculation about her recent departure from the United States.

Specifically, she has clarified the circumstances surrounding her exit from Los Angeles, dispelling rumours that linked her decision to the catastrophic wildfires ravaging the region.

The actress dismissed the claims and reassured her fans about her safety in a heartfelt statement shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday.

Omotola expressed gratitude for the concern and support she received from fans and well-wishers following the reports.

“I want to take a moment to address the incredible outpouring of concern and support I’ve received over the past few days regarding the fires in Los Angeles.

“First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you who have reached out with kind words, prayers, and love. Your thoughtfulness means the world to me,” she wrote.

While acknowledging the severity of the wildfires affecting Los Angeles, the actress clarified that her recent travel had nothing to do with the crisis.

She emphasized that she has been in Nigeria since December 2024, contrary to the circulating misinformation.

“To clarify and set the record straight: My family and I are safe. However, I’ve seen reports suggesting I had to leave the United States because of the fires. This is inaccurate,” Omotola stated.

The actress went on to urge media outlets and individuals to verify and correct the false narrative, stressing the importance of accurate reporting.

“While I deeply cherish my connection to Los Angeles, these fires were not the reason for my travel. I kindly urge media outlets and individuals to correct this misinformation,” she added.
