Bobrisky: Eucharia, Tonto, others weigh in on amid leaked audio scandal

1.2k

The ongoing scandal involving controversial cross-dresser Bobrisky has sparked an outcry among Nigerian celebrities, who have condemned the act of secretly recording conversations for malicious purposes.

The leaked audio, allegedly released by internet personality Very Dark Man, has become a hot topic, drawing reactions from notable figures, including Nollywood stars Eucharia Anunobi and Tonto Dikeh, who have publicly voiced their disapproval of the betrayal that comes with such actions.

Nollywood actress-turned-apostle Eucharia Anunobi expressed her disdain for those who engage in backstabbing behaviour, describing them as offspring of the devil.

“Are you expecting the offspring of the devil to be a saint? And by the way, don’t you know that the devil hates even his own, just like the Raven bird that eats its children’s food!” she wrote.

Anunobi’s comments came on the heels of a leaked conversation involving Bobrisky, in which he allegedly made startling claims about his time during a supposed six-month prison term, including payments made to high-profile figures to secure his freedom.

The controversial audio has shocked fans and industry insiders alike, revealing details that could have serious implications for Bobrisky’s reputation and legal standing.

The Minister of Interior, Mr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has suspended some top prison officials due to their alleged involvement in the raging scandal, according to Persecondnews.

This is just as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched an investigation into the matter over the involvement of some of its officials.

Tonto Dikeh also joined the chorus of voices criticising the culture of betrayal in the entertainment industry.

In a cryptic post shared on her social media, Dikeh warned against friends who record private conversations with sinister intentions.

Without mentioning names, she highlighted the growing distrust among colleagues and urged people to be mindful of those they consider confidants.

“Not everyone you call a friend is worthy of your trust. Be careful of those who record conversations only to use them against you,” Dikeh advised.

Earlier, actor Nosa Rex’s wife had condemned the actions of Bobrisky’s associate, who recorded the damning conversation.

She described it as a low blow, questioning the moral compass of anyone who would engage in such behaviour.

The details of the leaked conversation, which were masterminded by Very Dark Man and reportedly authorized by musician Seun Kuti, have sparked outrage.

Kuti, who defended the release of the audio, stated that the public deserved to know the truth about Bobrisky’s dealings.

“People like Bobrisky need to be held accountable,” Kuti said, adding that his decision to back the release of the tape was driven by a desire for transparency.

The content of Bobrisky’s leaked audio, which includes allegations of bribery and false claims, has added fuel to the fire, prompting celebrities to call for a reevaluation of trust and loyalty among industry peers.
