After a seven-year trial, five people who were arrested in connection with the 2018 Offa bank robbery incident were sentenced to death on Thursday.
In a judgment, Justice Haleemah Salman of the Kwara State High Court found the five people guilty of illegal possession of firearms, armed robbery, and culpable homicide.

According to the judge, the offences are punishable by death.
