Super Eagles interim coach, Austin Eguavoen, is in Uyo, Akwa Ibom capital, at the Super Eagles’ camp to begin his job as he addressed the 11 players who arrived early in the camp on Monday.

Persecondnews reports that among the early arrivals is Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, who arrived shortly after Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface, the 10th player to arrive at the team’s camp in Uyo on Monday.

The 2023 African Nations Cup runners-up will on Saturday slug it out with the Cheetahs of Benin Republic in the first Group D match in the 2025 AFCON Qualifier.

Despite his transfer face-off with Atalanta, Ademola Lookman also came in early to join the others like Ola Aina, Taiwo Awoniyi, Semi Ajayi, South Africa-based defender Olisa Ndah, Wilfred Ndidi, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.

Lookman was hoping to join French champions PSG after agreeing personal terms, but his Italian club blocked the transfer.

Also in camp as of yesterday evening was former Bendel Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie.
