World record holder Tobi Amusan didn’t break a sweat as she qualified for the semifinals of the women’s 100m Hurdles on Wednesday morning, winning her heat in a time of 12.49s in the ongoing Olympics in Paris, France.

Persecondnews correspondent covering the games reports that the world’s fastest woman easily won the race, beating USA’s Alaysha Johnson, who was 2nd in 12.61s, and Janeek Brown, 3rd in 12.84s.

Despite her impressive collection of medals from various competitions, including the World Championship, Commonwealth Games, African Championship, African Games, and Diamond League, an Olympic medal has eluded her.

Amusan’s Olympic journey began in 2016 at the Rio Games, where she reached the semifinals.

She came agonizingly close to a medal at the Tokyo Olympics, finishing fourth.
