Bobrisky, popularly known as the ‘Mummy of Lagursss,’ has returned from prison with surprising remarks about the experience.
In an interview obtained by Per Second News on Tuesday morning following his release from Kirikiri, the well-known cross-dresser described his time in prison as “awesome,” adding that it wasn’t as unpleasant as many fear.
This positive assessment has led some fans to speculate that Bobrisky might have received preferential treatment while he was incarcerated.
Bobrisky emphasized the importance of adhering to laws, especially concerning the handling of the Nigerian currency.
He warned that minor offences, such as naira mutilation, could result in jail time, citing his case.
Persecondnews recalls that Bobrisky was sentenced to six months imprisonment after pleading guilty to naira mutilation.
Bobrisky described his time in prison as unexpectedly pleasant, stating, “Being in prison wasn’t bad; my experience was awesome.
“It’s important for Nigerians to follow the law, especially regarding things like spraying the Naira currency.”
The anticipation surrounding Bobrisky’s release was palpable, with friends and fans, including actress Moyo Lawal, eagerly awaiting the moment.
In a surprising twist, Tonto Dikeh, who had a public falling out with Bobrisky, extended an olive branch by following him on Instagram, a gesture Bobrisky reciprocated, much to the amazement of netizens.
The first video post from Bobrisky after his release sparked intrigue and scepticism among fans, as the social media personality appeared remarkably well-groomed despite his time in prison.
This fuelled further speculation about the conditions of his confinement and whether he received special privileges.
The situation leading to Bobrisky’s imprisonment involved his arch-nemesis, known as Very Dark Man, who claimed responsibility for Bobrisky’s arrest.
He alleged that he had filed a petition against Bobrisky, accusing him of not only currency offences but also engaging in relationships with influential men, including lawmakers and police officers.
The feud between Bobrisky and the Very Dark Man had been intense and public, with both parties exchanging serious accusations.
Tracing the origins of their dispute, Per Second News recalls that Very Dark Man initially accused Bobrisky of illicit relationships with high-ranking officials, a claim that led to Very Dark Man’s own legal troubles and subsequent apology to the implicated officers.
