The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has reiterated his appeal to protesters demonstrating against the current economic situation in the country, urging them to engage in dialogue with the government.

He assured them that the government is willing to listen to their concerns and provide insight into certain governance matters that may be unfamiliar to them in order to foster a better understanding.

He spoke on Thursday while presenting the staff of office to four newly appointed chiefs in the territory.

The minister praised protesters in the FCT for being peaceful, urging them to resist those who want to harm the nation.

He emphasized the significance of Abuja as the nation’s capital, warning that any destruction or chaos in the FCT would have far-reaching and detrimental consequences for the entire country.
