Just In: Pres. Tinubu invites labour for minimum wage talks

President Bola Tinubu has invited the organized labour, under the aegis of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), to a meeting at the Aso Villa on Thursday.

A National Executive Council member of the NLC, who spoke on the condition of anonymity on Wednesday, said the Federal Government is on the verge of agreeing on a new national minimum wage with labour leaders.

He said: “The President has shown commitment to resolving the lingering minimum wage crisis on Thursday.”
