Tragedy as Army Captain, majors, commanding officer, 12 others fatally shot

Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State has become tense following the killing of a Nigerian Army commanding officer, two majors, a captain, and 12 troops by some enraged youths.

Before they were slain, the army’s officers and men were sent on a peacekeeping assignment to the warring towns of Okuama and Okoloba in Bomadi.

Numerous locals have already fled the area while military police officers are actively searching for the culprits.

Already, a few people have been taken into custody.
