In a significant move aimed at bolstering the welfare of vulnerable children nationwide, the David Adeleke Foundation (DAF) has announced a commitment of N300 million to orphanages across Nigeria.
Davido said on his Instagram page that the substantial donation reflects the foundation’s ongoing dedication to uplifting the lives of underprivileged children within the country.
The decision, which follows a pattern of consistent support over the past three years, underscores DAF’s steadfast commitment to addressing the needs of orphaned and vulnerable children.
The DAF Disbursement Committee will meticulously monitor the allocation process when it starts in the coming weeks to ensure accountability and transparency in fund distribution.
With transparency as a core principle of its operations, DAF reassures the public that the allocated funds have been securely deposited into the foundation’s accounts, as previously communicated.
According to the updated disbursement list, a total of 13,936 children are deemed eligible beneficiaries, while 1,688 have been deemed ineligible.
The allocation is poised to benefit 427 eligible orphanage homes across the nation.
At an average of N19,733 per eligible child, the N300 million fund allocation reflects a strategic effort to address the specific needs of each beneficiary institution.
Recognizing the dynamic nature of orphanage statistics, DAF acknowledges that the disbursement process may require time, emphasizing the importance of thorough vetting to ensure that the funds are utilized for the intended purpose.
Anticipating the completion of the disbursement process within the next two to three weeks, DAF reassures the public of its commitment to diligently verify and process payments to selected orphanages nationwide.
Acknowledging potential concerns and inquiries, the Foundation extends gratitude for the public’s patience and support, promising timely updates on the progress of fund distribution
