Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has opened up about how she navigated haunting memories of her first marital ordeal, shedding light on the pain she endured because of childlessness 10 years ago.

Having been through marriage twice, Etinosa recalled the harrowing experience from a decade ago when she faced challenges in her first marriage, particularly her inability to conceive.

The actress shared how, at that time, she believed herself to be the source of the problem, only to later discover the truth.

Expressing her frustration with the societal pressure placed on women in Nigeria, especially when it comes to fertility issues, Etinosa questioned the tendency for husbands and their families to cast blame on wives who struggle to get pregnant.

In an effort to uplift others facing similar struggles, the actress, who welcomed her first child three years ago, said she wants to serve as an inspiration for those awaiting the miracle of motherhood, particularly those grappling with conditions like PCOS, which she herself faced.

Etinosa revealed that she has translated her painful journey into a movie, aiming to share her life story as a source of comfort and entertainment for those who can relate to her experiences.

“Why is it that in this country, when a woman isn’t getting pregnant, the whole family of the man, including the man, will blame the woman? Even without a diagnosis.

“To every man or woman out there trying to conceive, just know that God has not forsaken you. If he can bless me with a child after years of PCOS tears and shame, Then he can, and he will definitely turn the tables to favour you.”
