Nigerian music sensation whose ‘Calm Down’ song has become a global hit, Rema, has vowed to take the global music scene by storm this year as he hopes to clinch the Grammy Awards.

Rema speaking during a visit to billionaire businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Tony Elumelu, at his Lagos mansion, claimed that he would clinch the Grammys this year despite not being nominated for the coveted award.

In a video that has been trending on social media platform, Elumelu congratulated Rema and said he was impressed by the music star’s achievement.

The ‘Calm Down’ crooner, who interacted with the family of the billionaire and presented an exclusive album copy and his merchandise (Air Rema) as gifts, appreciated Elumelu for always supporting the Nigerian music industry.

Speaking in a video clip shared on the billionaire’s Instastory, Rema said: “Thank you for what you have done and the support you have for the music industry. I am grateful, it means a lot to me. This year I am bringing the Grammy.”

It remained to be seen how he hopes to win an award he was not nominated for in any of the categories.
