In demonstration of their grief over the accidental bombing by the military of a community in Kaduna on December 2,
all the nation’s 109 senators have announced the donation of their December salaries to the victims.
The money will be handed over to Gov. Uba Sani, according to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Akpabio, represented by Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, announced this on Sunday at the Kaduna State Government House when he led a high-power delegation of Senate members to the state to commiserate with the Kaduna government and the people.
The senators were received at the Government House by Gov. Sani.
Akpabio, who expressed deep condolences, said the Senate was disturbed by the incident and promised to work closely with President Bola Tinubu to unravel the remote causes of the incident.
