…condolences pour in for the late rapper

The Nigerian music industry has again been plunged into grief as death has claimed yet another promising artiste, Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, known by his stage name as Oladips.

He reportedly passed away on the evening of November 14 at 10.14 pm following a long battle with an ailment believed to be related to internal organ malfunction.

Mystery surrounding the death

The cause of Oladips’ death remains shrouded in mystery as his management, in a statement released on Wednesday, refrained from disclosing the details surrounding the sudden death.

The announcement was made by Oladips’ management via his Instagram page, where it expressed deep sadness at the passing of the talented artist.

The statement hinted at a prolonged battle with an undisclosed ailment over the past two years, shedding light on the silent struggles Oladips faced while continuing to contribute to the vibrant Nigerian music scene.

Per Second News gathered that a video had surfaced few hours before he died where he asked a friend who arrived in his house while he was struggling to breath, urging the friend to please drive him to the hospital.

A rising star bows out

The 28-year-old rapper and singer had been a rising star in the industry, leaving fans and colleagues in shock and grief.

Condolences pour in for him

As news of Oladips’ demise spreads, condolences and tributes have flooded social media platforms with fans, fellow musicians, and industry insiders expressing shock and sadness.

Many recalled his contributions to the music landscape and the void his absence would leave in the hearts of those who admired his artistry.

His short but impactful journey in the music industry, though tragically cut short, is being remembered as a testament to his passion and dedication to his craft.

His unique style and lyrical prowess had endeared him to a growing fanbase, making his passing all the more difficult for those who recognized his talent.

As the music community grapples with this profound loss, it, however, stands united in honoring the memory of the rapper, who many described as another talent gone too soon but leaving an indelible mark on the music scene.

However, the grief-stricken family has asked the public to respect their privacy.
