Actress Kate Henshaw has found herself at the centre of social media attention after co-hosting a fundraising event organized by the Imo State Government under the leadership of Gov. Hope Uzodinma.

Despite her well-known support for the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, and her criticism of the APC government, Kate has defended her decision to co-host the event.

Social media platforms were abuzz with discussions and debates over her decision.

Many questioned her alignment with an event associated with a political party she had criticised.

However, Kate, known for her fearlessness and outspokenness, responded asserting that she remained undeterred by public opinion.

In a statement addressing the ongoing debate, Kate Henshaw said: “I was invited to host a fundraiser alongside my colleague. I accepted. My prerogative. What is the noise about?

“The difference between you and me is that I will still speak my truth as I see fit. End of.”

While her decision has sparked a lively online conversation, it reaffirms her dedication to speaking truth to power, an attribute she has demonstrated throughout her career as a prominent actress and social commentator.
