My sex video not intended for public consumption— Moyo Lawal

3.5k

Embattled Nollywood actress, Moyo Lawal, has finally broken her silence over her leaked sex tape that has trended on social media platforms for more than 48 hours.

The two-minute long video showed Moyo and a hefty man in an intimate affair on the bed as fans berated her for recording what was meant to be a “private moment” and allegedly leaking same online.

As reactions from fans and colleagues of the actress soared over what some stakeholders described as shameful, Moyo has reacted, saying she neither leaked the video nor knew it would be released to the public.

In a statement shared on her Instagram page on Sunday evening, Moyo said the private video of herself was shared without her consent, adding it has violated her trust.

The light-skinned actress said the man in the video was his ex-boyfriend whom she was to marry, noting that the video was not meant for public consumption, adding that she would institute a legal action to seek redress.

“It really hits me funny because I have always maintained a strict approach to my sexuality, even going as far as being celibate for a few years, refusing to date often and choosing stay alone most times.

“I am willing to not let this unfortunate incident break my spirit,” Moyo said.
